What We Believe

The Bible

We believe the bible is God’s word to all people, the revealed will of God to the world. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. Because it was inspired by God, the bible is truth without any error in it’s entirety, the all sufficient rule for faith and practice and still relevant to our daily lives.

God & The Trinity

We believe there is one God, infinite and eternally existent in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We believe God is perfect in all holiness, wisdom, goodness, justice, power and love. We believe that though each member of the Trinity serves different functions, they each possess equal power and authority.

Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ and that He lived completely human but, at the same time, completely God. We believe in His virgin birth, His bodily resurrection and ascension to the right hand of the Father in heaven and future physical return to earth. We believe He lived a sinless, perfect life so that He could be a substitution for us in satisfying God’s law for atonement

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit was sent to the Church in power on Pentecost and permanently indwells all believers to assure us of our relationship with Christ, guide us into truth, convict us of our sin, comfort us, give us spiritual gifts and make us more like Christ.

Heaven & Hell

We believe mankind was created to exist forever. We will exist either eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell, to be eternally in union with Him is Heaven. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence.

Salvation

We believe the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only way of salvation through the forgiveness of sin. Salvation occurs when people place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin and their outward lives reflect this internal change. Salvation is a gift from God, and it cannot be earned through our own efforts.

The Church

We believe the in the fulfillment of the great commission, and that the church is a local community of believers unified through faith in Christ. It is committed to the teachings of Christ and obeying all of His commands, and it seeks to bring the gospel to the world. The church works together in love and unity, intent on the ultimate purpose of glorifying Christ.
